This is very contradictory. You say to drink regular beer instead of light beer because it has more alcohol content...Well, it also has more calories. In fact, by drinking MGD 64 you get more alcohol per calorie and thus drunk more efficiently. This also works with your point on drinking more water, mgd 64 has more water.

Would appreciate you update your article to not be retarded.

Good you guys if you're drinking for the fun that what's the point in counting calories, go out a bit less, watch what you eat and more importantly exercise. If you're going out and thinking about calories you'll have a rubbish night. Calories shouldn't come into consideration it should be a pleasure and if it isn't then don't drink. If you drink anyway then you've got some degree of alcohol dependency.
In my opinion this article doesn't have a place to be if you worried about you're weight don't go out go for a run, or at least stay at home and watch X Factor so you're not out with the rest of us who drink and enjoy it.

I'm with you, Rob. I should further my thoughts by saying ice water is usually free, so why pay for more water... And on top of that it does taste like crap.

The lower alcohol is not necessarily great either. If you follow the math, then yes the alcohol to calorie ratio of light beer is good. But I think in practice, most people drink way more light beer to get the same effect of a "heavy" beer. Of course, if we're just drinking for taste, that's all a moot point.

Thanks for the feedback.

While I agree with all of your points, there is a minor flaw in your logic.

You use the fact that Light Beer has extra water and less alcohol in it as an arguments against drinking it, but then you talk about how you should drink a ton of water in order to slow down and prevent dehydration.

Sounds to me like the extra water and lower alcohol content in Light Beer makes it something you would WANT to drink, along with your whiskey and vodka (don't buy into the myth that mixing alcohol types is bad for you. It's not.)

That said, I do agree that you should avoid light beer, solely because it tastes like crap.

Points 1, 2, and 4 are good regiments to obtain. I would think if most people stayed away from anything that has sugar in it as a drink you would be better off. Drinking multiple sweet drinks is not a good idea, grow some hair on your chest and drink liquor straight. Light beer is too american anyways who wants to be status "american" quo.

P.S. A side of water gets rid of the AM headache at work syndrome.

EXCELLENT. I've been saying the same things for years, what with people drinking Bailey's and with White Russians complaining about not losing weight. Not everything has to be Mich Ultra people!
