Jägermeister 6-Bottle Shot Cooler

Posted on Monday, August 31, 2009 in Gear, Liquor, Uncategorized

For when one night of crying in a cold shower isn’t enough, the Jägermeister 6-Bottle Shot Cooler puts six bottles of the licorice from hell on ice, making them accessible through a spigot that looks suitably impossible to properly sterilize. At $120, the price must look a bit steep to most college freshman. But this is your future we’re talking about, people. Spare no expense. This college certainly isn’t going to drop itself out. Booze Detector Reveals Purity Of Your Drink

Posted on Sunday, August 16, 2009 in Gear, Liquor

Seems like a great idea if you think your bar is watering down your drinks. But, unless you regularly drink JB, Havana Club, or one of the other four brands the device is familiar with, you have to go back to the old system – trust.

Concrete Tumblers

concrete-tumbler

You can’t go wrong with concrete. These Concrete Tumblers ($40 set) mix a solid concrete base with a glass top, giving off a modern vibe that works as well for water as it does for martinis while providing an ultra-stable base for minimal spillage.

Oh Japan… Whiskey and M&Ms from a vending machine

Posted on Friday, July 24, 2009 in Gear, Liquor

japan vending machine whiskey m&m

Is Japan not the weirdest, sickest country on earth? Whiskey AND M&Ms are #9 in the vending machine!!??  If I found a vending machine with bourbon and Reese’s, my life would be over, because I would have found heaven.  Unless, of course, all of my money was too crinkled up to go in the machine; that would be hell.

Questionable Glass

hopside down beer glass

This is the Hopside Down beer glass.  Sure it looks cool, and it’s hand-blown, but $20 for one glass is highly questionable.  Buy from Perpetual Kid.

Sandal Flasks

reef dram sandal

This is questionable. I’ve seen sandals with bottle openers and I can see how that might be useful. But a flask hidden in your shoes?  I’m not so sure.  I guess the theory of the Reef Dram Sandal is that you can sneak booze into any place, but hiding a normal flask in your jacket probably works just as well. Available at Amazon.
