Here’s another early Bud commercial featuring Ed McMahon and Frank Sinatra. Now I’m sure Frank didn’t mind having a Bud, but I think we all know that he would rather have a Jack Daniel’s, his favorite. Anyway, cool video. A full minute long – you don’t see commercials that long anymore.
Ed McMahon was the Budweiser Ambassador
Sad news today that Ed McMahon has died. Not only was he Johnny Carson’s sidekick, and on a ton of commercials, he used to be the Budweiser Ambassador. I have a cool Bud tin sign of a much younger Ed hanging on the wall of my men’s bathroom at the bar (some pipeline worker tried to rip it off the wall last week). In honor of the man, here’s a cool video from Ed pitching for the King of Beers.
