Lemon Drop Martini

Lemon Drop Martini

By far the most popular martini at Ben’s is the Lemon Drop.  Some customers are skeptical because the name suggests a very sour creation. But more than 90% will order another one. Learn this drink.

  • If you don’t have frozen martini glasses, fill one with ice and water while you make the drink.
  • Fill a shaker completely full of ice.
  • Add 1.75 oz of citrus vodka.
  • Add .5 oz of Triple Sec. Any brand will do.
  • Add a splash of bottled Sweet & Sour. I use Finest Call.
  • Add a liberal amount of regular sugar.
  • Shake 10 times.  Wake it up, don’t put it to sleep.
  • Rim the martini glass with sugar.
  • Strain into your glass and serve with a healthy lemon wedge.

If you don’t have citrus vodka, feel free to use any vodka. But, squeeze some fresh lemon wedges in the shaker to cut the liquor.
